Hello, my name is Willow
I feel most embodied when I’m out in nature conversing with trees and spotting fungi in the woods or dancing with my family (dogs & kitties included!) in my living room. Like a lot of millennials, I am into astrology and have (way too) many house plants. On any given day, you can find me paddleboarding on a sunny lake, jamming out to some emotional music while I paint, scratching my fluffy dog behind his ears, discovering the many beautiful waterfalls of the PNW, or playing a game of cards with my nesting partner! I’m a curious, compassionate, queer therapist and I am grateful to have the opportunity to walk beside you.
My Story
As a queer, polyamorous, nonbinary individual with lived experience of neurodiversity and ADHD, I know what it’s like to struggle to figure out where you fit and not feel seen or understood for who you are. I know how difficult it can be to build healthy relationships and to set loving boundaries. And, I know that struggling with these things can often lead to a strong inner critic who can turn up their nose at self-acceptance and self-compassion. I believe in every person’s innate ability to grow, heal, and reconnect with themselves and their inherent wisdom. I am here to help you get to know yourself and come to accept all of your parts through the use of Internal Family Systems (IFS), interpersonal therapy, mindfulness, and self-compassion. I have experience working with folks struggling with substance abuse, disordered eating, relationship issues, trauma, and other severe mental health conditions. I love working with queer and gender-diverse folks, and individuals who are in nontraditional relationship structures or are interested in breaking out of compulsive monogamy. I offer services to individuals age 14 and up.
I received my master's degree in Counseling in 2018 from Texas Woman’s University. Since then, I have completed IFS Level 1 and Reiki Level 1 training, and many additional courses on a variety of interesting topics! If you’re looking to become empowered through self-knowledge, heal from your trauma, and deepen your healthy relationships with yourself and others, I encourage you to reach out for a consult! I look forward to talking with you to find out if we could be a good fit for each other.
